‘VOA standards’
VOA is mandated by law to serve as “a consistently reliable and authoritative source of news,” presenting both U.S. policies and discussions about them. Experts say VOA’s fact-based reporting is the reason why it gained its large audience, and say VOA would lose that following if it turned to broadcasting propaganda.
