Middle East

VOA’s reach to the Middle East includes broadcasts in Persian to Iran and programming in Kurdish to parts of Iraq, Syria and Iran. Before VOA was largely silenced, it was reaching 10.2 million Iranians each week and several million more people in Kurdish regions. Arabic-speaking audiences in the Middle East were served by VOA's sister organization, Middle East Broadcasting Networks.
