Voice of America is a key brand in the international media landscape for African countries. It represents access to quality information, helping to overcome barriers imposed by social, economic and country-specific conditions. Over decades, millions of people have built a relationship of trust with VOA, which has become a hallmark of the United States, projecting values of freedom and diversity throughout the world.
Silencing VOA, or turning it into anything other than a house of journalism, means leaving space for disinformation and propaganda.
