VOA’s impact across the globe

Before President Donald Trump issued his March 14 executive order that silenced much of Voice of America, we were reaching more than 360 million people around the world each week in 49 languages. Our reports helped to explain U.S. policies, promoted democratic values and countered hostile foreign narratives. They showed audiences what fact-based reporting looks like in countries where there are few such examples.
